The Globetrotter Panama hat, featuring an optimo crown style, is a beloved and iconic piece in any sun lover's wardrobe. Paired with a classic black Petersham band, this hat is a timeless staple that exudes effortless style and sophistication.

Renowned for its lightweight and breathable properties, our expertly handwoven Panama hats are crafted from premium quality toquilla straw in Ecuador, following Fair Trade and sustainable business practices.

Details

  • Material: Handwoven medium Llano sustainably grown Toquilla straw
  • Colour: Natural
  • Brim: Narrow brim with quality back-woven edge
  • Ribbon: Black Petersham ribbon band positioned with the bow feature on the left side as shown.
  • Interior: Soft headfitting band in black, no liner
  • Bash: Colonial/Optimo style centre ridge crown

These panama hats are individually handwoven from natural fibres and so some slight variations from piece to piece should be expected.

Take care when handling as this risks breaking the delicate straw fibres. Avoid handling your hat by the crown or front pinch. Holding your hat by the brim is the best way to handle any hat.

Size & Fit

Our Panama hat ranges run small so we recommend ordering a size up from your head measurement. When measuring for a Herbert Johnson hat, please place string or tape around your head above your ear and across the mid forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Measure your head exactly where you want the hat to sit. It may help to either do this in the mirror or have someone to help for accuracy. Measure in centimetres. If your measurement falls between sizes, round up to the nearest half centimetre and/or email your exact measurement to our team and they will be happy to advise you.

For more information please email enquiries-hj@herbert-johnson.co.uk.

A professional measuring service is also available at our Swaine stores on New Bond Street and at the Burlington Arcade.
