Care

Store in a cool, dry place to preserve the integrity of the wood. Wipe the light horn handle with a soft cloth to maintain its lustrous finish.

For the wooden shaft, use a gentle wood polish to enhance the natural grain and prevent dryness. Avoid exposure to extreme humidity or direct sunlight, as this may cause the wood to warp or fade.

Did you know

Dress canes have long been associated with aristocracy, particularly in the court of Louis XIV. More than mere walking aids, they became symbols of refinement, status, and authority.

During this period, canes were often elaborately decorated with precious metals, ivory, enamel, and gemstones. The ornamentation was not only a display of wealth but also a way to project individuality and taste.
